Julie Kavner studied Theatre Arts in San Diego State University and graduated with honors.  Julie began her screen career playing Brenda Morgenstern in which she won her first Emmy Award.  It was on the set of "Rhoda" that Julie met David Davis, a Producer and writer for the show.  Julie appeared in five Woody Allen movies.  At one time she played Woody Allen's mother ("Radio Days") and in another movie, his girlfriend ("New York Stories).  Kavner's talent for improvisation and impersonation made her a regular cast member on the "Tracey Ullman Show" leading her into the character of Marge Simpson.  "The Simpson's" is one of the longest running shows in television.
